I had an appointment at Esta to give the owner my dead grandmother’s clothes, but she was completely rude, disgusting, and disrespectful. I was simply trying to help her make Esta a better place, but she did not have any patience. She was touching my mother’s belongings without her consent. Additionally, the owner is horrific with minors. If you must go into the store, do not bring children because they will be greatly mistreated. Personally, I would not support a store with an owner THIS unpleasant and insensitive.

Beautiful, large selection of vintage clothes and accessories for all ages. The owner is very kind. She was very understanding when my puppy had an accident in the store. Great place to shop and to receive excellent customer service. Absolutely worth a visit if you are in Portsmouth.

Stopped in while visiting Portsmouth. I was looking for a new purse, I usually just buy cheap bags from Target but I was tired of replacing them every few months. The owner was really nice, I like small crossbody bags and she helped me find almost every single one in the store. I found a great vintage Italian leather bag that was priced very well and already received compliments on it. Would definitely recommend, but don't just walk in and out, try digging around and you'll find something you like.

The woman who was working 5/4/2019 was very pleasant.. . to the middle aged white woman who was in the store when I arrived. When she came to greet me (vibrant haired and in my late 20s) she nearly stopped in her tracks and choked on her greeting- as I am somehow not worth treating with respect. There was a noticeable change in her demeanor, and the clerk refused to speak more than one word to me. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I left.

To the owners: I chose to leave the store without spending any money due to how rude your staff is. Treating potential customers as if they are an inconvenience and they are less than is just plain unacceptable.

Don't waste your time on this overpriced consignement shop with rude staff. Do, however, go around the corner to Wear House. They are friendly as hell, with much better better prices.

Went in with my partner today while checking out shops. Woman working seemed very friendly to the customer before us. Said hi to us, but when she realized my partner had bright colored hair and an alternative style, she did a complete 180. I said I liked the store and he view was great, her response was "yup". She didn't help us, gave us dirty looks, and when I said thank you on the way out the door she again just responded with "yup"

If you're reading this lady, the $800 jacket my partner was wearing is worth significantly more than anything on your racks. There were a few items we were interested in, but you absolutely blew a few sales today. Maybe try treating the people who walk through your doors a little better.

We jumped over to Wear House and the staff was significantly more welcoming.

I was shopping here looking through a sale rack holding a small paper bag marked with another local store's logo. The saleswoman approached me and asked with an odd tone, What's in the bag? I was a little taken aback but showed her the inside of the bag with the folded garment bought at the other store. She had no interest in what I had bought. This was not a friendly inquiry. She was accusing me of shoplifting! I am a 60yo woman and did absolutely nothing to raise suspicion. This was very insulting. I would not recommend supporting this business.

Super rude. My husband and I, and a friend of ours stoped in and I guess because we aren’t middle aged plain Jane white women, we were given dirty looks by the woman behind the counter. She watched us like hawks as we quietly looked around, we clearly weren’t “good” enough to be in her disgustingly privileged excuse for a clothing store. She clearly thinks that she can judge a persons financial wealth by their appearance. Guess what Karen? By the looks of these reviews, you keep losing business because of your bigoted attitude. You and your shop would have been a waste of my money ✌️

I bought an Eileen Fisher cardigan sweater, which the proprietor said was barely worn. The sweater was marked $80.00 but I was given $5.00 off and paid $75.00. When I got home I found moth holes in one of the shoulders. I called to report my disappointment and was told that the sale was final; no discount for damaged goods and no return. Be careful when buying here and inspect your merchandise carefully. I paid a hefty price to learn a lesson! Even though the sale was marked “final,” I think there should be some concession for damages. She has a responsibility to not sell damaged goods to her customers.
