A Gem of a Coffee Experience at Amavida

Visiting Amavida Coffee both in Rosemary Beach and Seaside turned out to be a highlight of my Florida trip. The ambiance of both locations is a perfect blend of comfort and artistic flair, making each visit a unique experience. Their commitment to sustainability is evident not just in their delicious organic coffee, but also in the range of sustainable products like the sweatshirts, which are not only eco-friendly but stylish too.

The latte in Rosemary Beach was crafted to perfection, offering the right balance of espresso and milk - a true delight for any coffee lover. Meanwhile, the Seaside location impressed me with its delightful cheese Danish and scrumptious macarons, each bite better than the last. The variety and quality of their pastries are commendable.

What truly sets Amavida apart, though, is the beautiful art that adorns their walls, adding an enriching layer to the overall experience. It's not just a coffee shop; it's a celebration of local culture and artistry. I highly recommend Amavida Coffee to anyone looking for exceptional coffee, delightful treats, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Amavida is a must-visit destination.

Ordered a cappuccino. $6 after tip. Taste was bitter. Milk was past the 160F point. No latte art. This is a pretentious place. No love for coffee here

My recent visit to this coffee shop left me in a state of caffeinated confusion mixed with a pinch of amusement. As a traveler and former barista, I've encountered my fair share of quirky coffee experiences, but this one takes the cake, or should I say, the espresso bean. I say get coffee….anywhere else. The did a great job picking the location, the vacationers coming and going, they don’t have to work to have return customers.

Let's start with the size options—or should I say, the David and Goliath of coffee servings?
I ordered a regular cold brew, expecting a refreshing jolt of java goodness. Instead, what materialized before me was a delicate vessel of liquid gold that could be mistaken for an espresso shot's tiny cousin. It was a cold brew for the fairy folk, a thimble-sized delight that left me bewildered and questioning my sense of scale.

Now, onto the pricing. Seven dollars for a petite potion that barely quenched my caffeine cravings? I couldn't help but chuckle. I've encountered artisanal, hand-crafted concoctions on my coffee escapades, but this microscopic masterpiece took the cake in terms of sheer audacity. I half expected the barista to serve it on a silver platter, surrounded by cherubs singing coffee hymns.

While humor aside, it's disappointing to see the lackluster service provided by the staff. Rudeness should never be part of the coffee shop experience.

For those seeking a grandiose coffee experience or a wallet-friendly caffeine fix, I recommend venturing elsewhere. But if you have a penchant for the minuscule and don't mind parting with a few extra dollars for a dash of amusement, this place might just be your ticket to a caffeine-infused giggle.

Now for the coffee..

Espresso I had was more floral in taste; however, paired with almond milk it works brilliantly.

Brings out the floral notes and a very great cup to enjoy. I would suggest you get a small no more then 12 oz of any milk product and a minimum of 2 shots ideally 3 to make the flavor of the espresso pop.

Smooth and very enjoyable unless I find another spot I will be coming by here for the duration of my stay.

Amavida has always been a seaside staple, and after their unfortunate move to the edge of central square, they still uphold their wonderful quality and fast service. I would say they rank exceptionally high in the available coffee options, however their breakfast and seating options fall short of the new black bear coffee location near by. I think they are still well worth a visit and I encourage visitors to try their donut truck out front too!

Cool coffee shop with super friendly and service oriented staff. The place was clean and COVID conscious. We had breakfast and coffee and all items were delicious. From their quiche to croissants to avocado toast to iced lattes, all were tasty.
